Everythingbranded’s Teravis takes to the trails for MacMillan Hike-A-Thon with girlfriend Kate.
Since Douglas Macmillan founded the charity in 1911, Macmillan have grown to be the UK’s leading source of cancer support, helping more and more people living with cancer find the support and relief they need. None of this could happen without the help of fundraisers and volunteers. That is why a fellow colleague of ours, Teravis Ward, is putting his best foot forward alongside girlfriend Kate, to complete a mighty hike across the Peak District.
Being avid walkers, these pair wanted to push their limits and complete a Hike-A-Thon in the name of Macmillan Cancer support. The Hike-A-Thon combines a passion for hiking that the couple have, with a cause that is close to both their hearts, sealing their decision to fundraise.
The daring duo will set out on the 24th July 2021 to complete a 26 mile long hike from Darley Moor to Bakewell, past the famous Dovedale Stepping Stones. All in 12 hours! In preparation for the challenge Kate and Teravis have been regularly visiting the peaks to get their practice in which pledgers can keep up with via their JustGiving page.
Here at EverythingCommunity, we believe they have the commitment and competence to smash the hike so we have added to the donation pot for our Monthly Star and Teravis will receive an extra day’s holiday (probably to recover!). So far, the adventurous pair have already reached their target and raised £510 from 30 supporters… but it is not over yet! With over 13 weeks left, there’s still time to smash their target out of the park and make a real difference. The money raised is there to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support.
