Here at Everything Towers we like to make sure that no week is the same in the office. In the month of October, the company decided to host an internal baking competition where the different departments go head-to-head to win a nice little prize. Now, with all that cake, why let it go to waste? EverythingCommunity decided to step in and host a bake sale with the cakes to raise money. The star baker of that week would determine which charity the money went to.
Week one saw five teams from our EverythingBranded UK division go head-to-head to win one spot in the finale. The theme for their show-stopping creation was Movies! The contestants would have to create a baked treat based on their favourite movie, a creation from a movie or a character from a movie. The teams had a week to plan and create their showstoppers with their final presentations at the end of the week in front of a panel of judges made up of the senior management team. The cakes were judged based on taste, texture, presentation, and creativity.
After tallying up the scores, we had a tie, with the help of an external adjudicator (Assistant Finance Team Manager, Jon, stepped in to save the day!). And we had our winner – Jordon Fox, who recreated the Titanic in cake form.

Man’s best friend and certainly Winston, Jordan’s little doggo, is very dear to his heart. Jordan decided to put all donations forward to Dogs Trust UK hoping to help dogs across the country that should be getting the same love and care.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 14,300 dogs across its network of 21 rehoming centres across the UK and Ireland. The charity supports dogs and dog lovers with training, advice and outreach projects, making them the UK’s leading voice in dog welfare. The charity also focuses its efforts on understanding dogs and sharing that knowledge with the wider public to prevent problem behaviours that can result in relinquishment or abandonment. Dogs Trust is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
Founded in 1891 and originally known as The National Canine Defence League, Dogs Trust has been involved in every piece of legislation affecting dogs over the past 126 years.
