RECAP: – The competition continues as week 2 sees the Everything Branded USA sales division based in the UK head office go head-to-head to fight for that finale spot. The theme for their showstopper was music, inspired by the two talented artists part of the team Ickey Singh and Dillon Morgan. The teams got creative with this round ranging from a Michael Jackson Thriller themed cake to a Twinky shaped boy band called Caked That (can you guess which band this was themed after?).
The winning duo Alex and Jasmine stole the show with their man playing a piano and musical themes Kinder Bueno Cookies. As with last week the winners decide which charity, they would like to give the proceeds from the bake sale. Alex and Jasmine chose Mind UK.
The competition heats up with week 3 seeing Finance go head-to-head with the Marketing team. Now this week is a little special as it falls alongside Breast Cancer Awareness week. The theme being female empowerment. For this theme you could make you cake inspired by someone that empowers you or a cake themed around empowering someone else.
The whimsical caking ranged from superheroes, to Frida Kahlo, to The Suffragettes. The winning team topped the rest with a pink superhero/candy themed Victoria Sponge cake. The girls were happy to donate the £100 from the bake sale to Breast Cancer Now.
