Friday 10th September saw our doors opening for the first time this year to present an evening with Brian Wood. Sunday best-selling author, and former colour sergeant, Brian Woods, was awarded the Military Cross, one of Britain’s highest awards for gallantry in combat, by Her Majesty The Queen II, following his courageous leadership under enemy fire in Iraq. We extended an invitation to local businesses to hear the true story from the man himself as featured in the BBC docu drama ‘Danny Boy’ as he delivered a compelling session, sharing his experiences from the battlefield and suggesting ways that the lessons he has learnt can be applied in the corporate world.
A Networking Night to Remember!
The night was a hit and our participants left feeling inspired, connected, and energised. It gave people the chance to network over drinks and nibbles, and to experience an inspirational and compelling session from our guest speaker. All proceeds from the event were raised for Menphys Sports Club.
EverythingGlobal raises £350 for Menphys.
For over 50 years, Menphys have been supporting families across Leicestershire. Menphys most recent initiative is to increase the sports provision for children and young people with disabilities in Leicestershire, to enable them to have a better choice and wider breadth of sport activities. To kickstart this newly found initiative they have founded the Menphys Sports Club. We managed to raise £350 in aid of Menphys. We hope this event is the first of many as we look to connect community and corporate worlds.
