Sharing is Caring with Bodie Hodges Foundation

July 6, 2021

The death of a child, of any age, brings suffering and heartbreak. It is a type of grief that is unparalleled in most cases. Mostly because it is an abnormal occurrence for a parent to lose a child. For bereaved parents, it brings a feeling of longing for the child, a feeling that cannot be appeased. This ultimately affects their daily life and the road to recovery is usually a lifelong one. That is why charities such as Bodie Hodges exist.

About Bodie Hodges

The charity was established by the Hodges family, who following the death of their beautiful 10-month-old son, Bodie, wanted to offer hope and support to other bereaved families. They were blessed to be given time away from home to spend time as a family and to show their daughter that life would somehow continue and that out of tragedy comes hope. The Bodie Hodges Foundation was formed in 2013, to support families who have been bereaved of a child of any age and to promote organ donation. Their vision is to give hope to families bereaved of a child by providing a range of services that support grieving families and encourage them to rebuild and remember.

EverythingBranded Becomes Back Seat Driver for Mega Raffle

As part of their vital fundraising, the Bodie Hodges Foundation held a mega raffle 2 weeks ago, with a “winner takes all” prize draw. They approached us to ask if there was anything EverythingBranded could donate as a prize, and there was. Amongst the other great prizes, including a garden bar, tickets for the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix, Leicester Racecourse tickets, our CEO Paul Rowlett generously donated A LEGO Technic: Bugatti Chiron car kit. One very happy participant got to take EVERYTHING home, and Bodie Hodges managed to raise £1,745 in the process.

‘Of course, this would not have been possible without your enormously kind and generous donation of the Bugatti Chiron Lego car, so HUGE thanks to you for your support.’                                          – Kellie Charge, Fundraising & Events Manager, Bodie Hodges.

The next upcoming fundraiser will be their annual golf day at The Belfry on Thursday 29th July.  If you would like more information about the charity, or if you can donate an auction lot or raffle prize to support the charities fundraising, please contact Kellie directly at kellie@bodiehodgesfoundation.co.uk
